Today was my last day with my 4th graders. I had such a fun time being with them twice a week. It was a great experience as I practiced classroom management skills, different teaching techniques, interacted with other teachers and actually had the opportunity of being around children all day long in a school setting. For the past few weeks I have been in charge of a unite on Idaho Gold Mining. It was so much fun to learn the information and then teach it to my fourth graders in a variety of ways. We panned for gold, we did cookie mining, we made posters and sang songs. It was a lot of fun, and the good thing is, they still learned! I can't wait to have my own classroom of students. As of now I have two job offers - one in Layton, Utah the other in Maricopa, Arizona. By the end of next week I should know where I'm going!

So back to my fourth graders. Today was my last day and it was bitter sweet. They were so sweet as they kept giving me hugs throughout the day and writing me cute notes. At the very end of the day they gave me a "candy bar card." It was so cute. I'm going to miss them, but I'm excited to continue to spread my wings and fly!
