Cabin Fever

I was in the hospital for 61 hours - 13 hours of labor and devliary, then 48 hours for the required stay after delivery. Lucky for Jesse and mom, they got to come and go as they pleased to the hospital, but me, I had to stay cooped up just looking outside windows out into the fresh air and out into the world. I enjoyed the time, though, because it was a good bonding time for Tanner and I, and I loved the free "room service." I picked up the phone and ordered meal after meal, all for free! It was great. :) Now I have been home for almost 3 days and I have not left, and I am again feeling cooped up. I just want to take Tanner out to explore the world and get fresh air, but we are both in the recovery stage. I promised my mom and Jesse one week of recovery, then I'm going to be out and about! But good thing for such great friends. AJ and Kelsey came over last night for dinner and games. AJ cooked us some delicious flank steaks - wow!! Kelsey has been working on baby beanies for a photographer, and we tried out a newborn owl beanie - so cute, but maybe just a little too big. Also, my Auntie Kay sent Tanner a beanie with a beard. We put it on Tanner and it was hilarious. Enjoy the pics. Also, last night we had a big family slumber party in the nursery. With Tanner being on his "tanning bed" someone sleeps with him during the night to help keep him calm, since he doesn't like it. Jesse and I decided to do it together, instead of take shifts. It ended up that we didn't use the bed last night, and Tanner slept great throughout the night. He only got up twice to eat!! He is such a good baby!!
