So yesterday I completely got out of my comfort zone. A guy from my ward texted me to invite me to play soccer with a group of people from the ward. I didn't know anyone, including the guy who texting me, but I figured it would be a great way to keep meeting people from my ward. Also, I DO NOT play soccer. I played every sport in high school but soccer, so I was a little nervous. But I decided to go, and I ended up having so much fun! Everyone was really nice and it was a casual game, nothing too competetive. There were really good people, and average people. I was average. I kept up pretty well and I even learned I'm a really good goalie! I blocked a lot of goals and helped assist in many goals made for our time. We played for two hours, and needless to say, I am so sore today, but it is worth it. They invited me back to play every Saturday at 9. I'm going to take them up on it. It is great exercise, fun, and the people are nice. Jesse is a soccer player, so I'm hoping he can come with me next time.
I'm not a firm believer that it is good to get out of our comfort zone because we just might find a new enjoyable hobby or activity, and meet people. I'm now exicted for next Saturday morning!
